The long awaited Garden of Sinners release is finally done, for the Fourth time, and hopefully without issues this time. Some notes on the filtering and size: Not to be outdone by Yuri I this script has gone through 9 different rewrites to trump with the Rezav9 As I'm sure everyone knows the blurays for this are awful. So awful that in man places the banding is so strong that none of the deband filters even detect it as banded. When working on fixing this and the awful noise there is no way to get around having detail loss. I did as much as I could to mitigate loss but naturally there is still some. That being said I think that the quite minor loss in most cases is more than justified with how much of the ugly noise and banding did get filtered out. The lineart is unwarped and was AAed quite well imo. There are still some scenes that couldn't be entirely fixed due to how bad they were in the source. For movie 5 the grain was pretty much completely untouched at the end of my filtering. Some of it did end up getting smeared a bit but it is still mostly intact. I considered just remuxing it to prevent that but I ended up managing to remove pretty much all of the aliasing and made the haloing much less noticeable. Movie 7 had a lot of issues that all of the other ones together have, along with extreme chroma noise and heavy grain on top of it. My goal there was to do the regular filtering as well as then trying to match the original grain and even it out better. These two movies are massive because of the decision to try to keep the grain. The rest of the movies are pretty big as well but given that those are also pretty grainy and a lot of the movies take place at night I think the size is justified for them The final note I have on the filtering is that there isn't and never will be any way to make a perfect encode of this. There will be quality cut somewhere and I'm sure that some people are gonna cry about detail loss but as far as I am concerned the fixes from the filtering still make it far better than the BD or any other encode. subtitle changes made by Arid: Modifications to the subtitles include: retiming for the first 8 movies, very light edits to the dialogue, a restyled dialogue font consistent across all movies, new/modified TS for the first 7 movies, consistency between preview dialogue and the actual dialogue in the movies (in most cases), and semi-consistent song styling for the first 7 movies. Recalled out Summer and Extra Chorus use UTW subs, they were restyled to match the dialogue font and Kanji was removed from the song styling. Movies 1-3, 6, and 8 are based on the Pretentious subtitles, while Movies 4, 5, and 7 are based on the official subtitles (taken from CR/VRV). Song lyrics are from Pretentious (M1-M3), Official (M4), and gg-Takajun (M5-M7). For audio I included both the 5.1 and the 2.0 tracks. There was weird issues where all of the flac files that were made from the PCM were half size of the PCM and movie 6 was a quarter size. I blame that on the awful mastering that also ruined the video but I'm not sure how it was done. These sizes seem to be consistent with the other releases as well. As for why I chose to use 24 bit flac, there are a few key points I considered. While the choice ultimately depends on personal preference and the specific needs of the viewer, here are some of my arguments for utilizing 24-bit FLAC: One of the primary advantages of 24-bit audio is the wider dynamic range it offers compared to 16-bit. The additional 8 bits allow for more detailed and accurate representation of audio signals, capturing subtle nuances and low-level details that might be lost in 16-bit audio. 24-bit audio provides a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to 16-bit audio. This means that the audio signal is less susceptible to noise, resulting in cleaner and more accurate reproduction of the original recording. Better Audio Editing and Processing If you plan to perform extensive audio editing, mixing, or post-production work on the audio files, 24-bit FLAC offers more headroom for processing. The additional bits provide a larger margin for adjustments, minimizing the risk of introducing audible artifacts during editing or applying effects. Future-Proofing: Choosing 24-bit audio ensures compatibility with potential future audio technologies and advancements. While 16-bit audio is still widely supported and suitable for most applications, opting for 24-bit audio can help future-proof your audio collection, especially if higher-resolution audio playback devices become more prevalent. Audiophiles and music enthusiasts who strive for the highest audio fidelity often prefer 24-bit audio due to its potential for improved sound quality. While the differences might not be readily discernible to all listeners or on all audio systems, those with high-quality audio equipment and discerning ears may appreciate the subtle improvements offered by 24-bit audio. Having met several people who can pass an ABX test with their 150$ (12,310.40 Indian Rupee) headphones, I do believe that there is justification to keep the extra information. As well as this with a good enough setup (Tube amp and no less than $15,000 cans) one can ABX opus that has been encoded from 24 bit vs 16 bit, due to the extra bitrate making up for the very lossy and poor quality of opus It's important to note that the benefits of 24-bit audio are most pronounced when the audio is recorded, mixed, and mastered in a 24-bit environment. Converting a 16-bit audio file to 24-bit will not magically add new information or improve the original audio quality. However, if the audio was originally recorded or produced in 24-bit, using a 24-bit FLAC format will help preserve its quality and potential benefits throughout the audio chain. It is technically not entirely lossless as it has less information than the raw PCM audio it is, it is still good enough for archival purposes, since at any later date you can use it to encode to something else with the best possible quality. Ultimately, the choice between 16-bit and 24-bit FLAC depends on your specific requirements, equipment, and personal preferences. It may be worth conducting blind listening tests or comparing the two formats on your audio setup to determine if you were born to forever be bad at life or not. In my particular use case, I would like to ruin anyone's data cap that for some reason added me to their RSS feed, as well as make this release entirely impossible to download for many indians I would like to thank the poster of this image, as it has caused irreparable mental damage to me. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/808929816299569163/1101022273554612284/unknown-7.png) Due to recent events I do not care what people say nor will I respond unless its herkz or members of the schizo gc
