I never want to touch a DVD again after this project, holy shit.
### **Video**
h264 10bit VFR, encoded from R2J DVDs. I used the DVDs because the BD release is a mediocre upscale and is decimated to 24fps, which results in a lot of jerky motion since most of the episode content is native 30p. There are both 24p and 30p elements in this show so I went through the source with Wobbly to properly IVTC all the 24p scenes and generate timecodes for VFR.
I really tried my best to make this DVD look decent, but I'm not all that great at filtering and encoding. I managed to mitigate most of the artifacting and mosquito noise, but I really couldn't figure out how to get rid of the insane amount of ringing. I wish Shaft shows didn't have such cursed releases.
### **Audio**
160kbps Opus for the main track encoded from LPCM, AC3 for the commentary track to avoid lossy-lossy compression.
### **Subtitles**
Heavily modified HT/SpoonSubs. Most dialogue replaced with R1, KFX TL and styling touched up, and actual decent TS added.
Expect another few episodes whenever I feel like neglecting my college studies again.
