Orphan presents the first English-subtitled version of the 2005 anime movie *Ashita Genki ni Naare! ~Hanbun no Satsumaimo~* (*Tomorrow Will Be Better! Half a Sweet Potato*). Based on an autobiographical work by Ebino Kayoko, it centers on the Tokyo firebombing on March 10, 1945, and its aftermath. The bombing destroyed a huge swath of the city, and most of Kayoko's family was killed. After the war, she had to live with uncaring relatives while she struggled to find her surviving brother in the chaos of Tokyo's yakuza-controlled black market.
