Because I was bored and, for whatever reason, nobody else has subbed this despite the series being historically significant. I originally planned to wait and buy the 6-disc rental DVD set for fresh rips, but I'm cheap and broke as hell and there’s no guarantee what kind of quality it would be. Episode 1 was transcribed and translated to English using a combination of automated transcription > translation (not Whisper I realized how much that fucks everything up even in non japanese languages) and manual checking for unsure areas. Subtitles are simple SRT (no karaoke effects). This was mainly done to establish a baseline English translation for a series that had none. The show is more fun than I expected. Work will continue whenever I feel like it.
